Shades of Change is an inspiring graphic design project by New Orleans-based artist Marin Dearie that tracks the colour variations of everyday objects and facts that occur in nature, biology, pop culture or elsewhere. From a palette that shows the colour changes in octopi to Lil’ Kim’s hair, the lighthearted charts resemble the much-loved Pantone scale, highlighting how meaningful the analysis of colour can be.
